The Better Because of My Dog experience takes a holistic approach, recognizing that building a strong bond with dogs goes beyond basic obedience training. Working Spot
Each working spot is for one person and one dog. Side by side, we will work our dogs through foundational skills of leash work, place work, using the long line, and more. These exercises may sound tailored to beginners, but our 7 evolutions will show you how to fully utilize these simple skills to create a fortified, lasting connection with your dog - a connection based on mutual respect, clear communication, and an alignment of your goals for each other.

Audit Spot
As an auditor, you will have the opportunity to participate in the workshop through observing Art, our training supports, and the working spot participants. Auditors will be encouraged to ask questions, share experiences, and fully participate - just without a dog by your side. Perfect for those who learn by watching, you will be able to fully participate in the community and gain new insights to take home with your personal dogs or clients.

Virtual Spot
Join us from afar as we stream the workshop live! Perfect for those unable to travel, the virtual spot will allow you to follow along as we work through the 7 evolutions. While the virtual spot will not allow you to interact with our trainers or dogs in real time, you will be able to access the livestream of the workshop, providing insight into dog psychology, communication, and behavior. This workshop will not be recorded, so participants must view the livestream only.

FAQs
What are my options for travel accommodations?
Because travel accommodations and meals are not included, we’ve gathered recommendations!
There are several nearby hotels. We recommend Chase Suites Hotel Brea, Embassy Suites Hotel by Hilton Brea, Ayres Suites Yorba Linda, and Springhill Suites by Marriott.
There are also many restaurants within walking distance of Royal K9 Resort & Training Center.
My dog’s behavior could be considered more severe. can i purchase a working spot?
Because of the communal nature of this workshop, we cannot accept working spots with dogs who have a human bite history.
Will other trainers be present?
Yes! Our training colleagues at Royal K9 Resort & Training Center have offered to be our gracious hosts, and we’re excited to partner with them to bring you this workshop. Be ready to learn from a variety of perspectives and shared experiences.
What is your cancellation policy?
We are able to offer a full refund for cancellations made prior to 2/29. Cancellations made between 3/1-3/31 will be provided a 50% refund. No refunds will be offered after 3/31.
