Lead trainer Art Ortiz will come to your facility or location of your choice to provide 6 hours of instruction, tailored to meet the needs of your organization. Cost is $1500, but may vary due to location & travel requirements.

We are able to provide training to both your staff or your clients and their dogs. Participants will learn:

• dog handling & leash skills

• how to read and assess dog behavior, play styles, & compatibility

• problem solving skills to address common challenging behaviors

• how to meet the specific needs of the dogs in your care

Foster-based and facility-based rescue organizations will learn essential knowledge and skills, including:

• dog psychology & evaluating rescue dogs’ behavior, personality, energy, & compatibility

• best practices for integrating a new dog to a foster home

• training basics to promote healthy behavior and increase chances of adoption

• what to look for in potential adoptive homes and assessing compatibility for long-term success
